Ylistaro middle school

Ylistaro junior high school (classes 7-9) is situated in Ylistaro school center by the river Kyrönjoki in the city center of Ylistaro in Seinäjoki. There are about 200 pupils and 40 teachers as well as other staff members. We work in the same premises with Ylistaro high schoolYlistaro Lower Secondary School is located in the district of Ylistaro in Seinäjoki, at the shore of River Kyrönjoki. The school operates grades 7-9 of basic education. There are about two hundred pupils and about 40 teachers and other staff members. Ylistaro Upper Secondary School also works in close cooperation with the lower secondary school. Together, Ylistaro Lower Secondary School and Upper Secondary School form the Ylistaro School Centre.

Following the renovation and expansion of the school (2016-18), the school centre consists of two buildings: Taitokoulu (Skills School) and Tietokoulu (Knowledge School). Taitokoulu includes a canteen, sports facilities and woodworking facilities. Thanks to the modern facilities, we are able to offer functional and versatile learning environments and organise activities and physical activity during the school day.
