Grants
Grants are applied for using an electronic form at https://varaukset.seinajoki.fi
Each year, the City of Seinäjoki’s youth services budget allocates an appropriation to support local youth activities. The distribution of the appropriation is decided by the Welfare Committee.
Activities eligible for grants
Grants are awarded to local registered associations whose primary activity according to the association’s rules is youth work. A grant may also be awarded to a registered youth section of an adult organization that is distinguishable from the parent organization in the accounting records. Activities must be open to everyone and based on voluntariness. Informal activity groups may apply for project grants.
Grants are not awarded for:
- construction
- activities of entities with the right to levy taxes
- for groups whose activities are considered to be organised by another city department
- for groups or associations that do not have an action plan or a statement on the intended use of the grant
