Liikenne- and fiilispuisto
In the children’s Liikennepuisto, children under the age of 12 can learn traffic rules and safely enjoy the fun of pedal cars. The leisure facility, maintained by Seinäjoki youth services, is free and hands-on. The vehicles don’t get a chance to gather dust, as the park receives about 10,000 visitors each summer.
The park offers pedal cars in two sizes to borrow for children learning traffic rules. Helmets must be worn while driving; helmets can be borrowed from the park, but it is recommended to use your own. The park is like a miniature world, featuring pedal cars, a talking traffic light, a refuelling station, pedestrian crossings, a roundabout and sidewalks.
Young summer employees create the park’s atmosphere. They assist with choosing cars and instruct on their use. During busy times driving time is about 10 minutes. The park’s instructors also run traffic park driving schools where children can earn a driving licence. The driving licence lessons are intended for 6–12-year-olds.

Learning together is fun, and children in Liikennepuisto are always the responsibility of their guardians. Parents, together with the instructors, take care of safety and guidance in the park. A child may be removed from the roadway if, despite warnings, they do not follow the park’s rules and endanger their own or others’ safety.
Fiilispuisto
Fiilispuisto is a free, open-to-all equipment lending area located next to Liikennepuisto. You can come there to play and enjoy various games and activities. In the Fiilis area you can borrow tricycles and kick scooters for the youngest family members, but these are not allowed on the roadway for safety reasons. There is also an instructor at Fiilispuisto who participates in the activities.
Liikenne- and Fiilispuisto can now also be found on Instagram, where you can follow the park’s updates daily.
