Operating grants

Applications for operating grants from youth services are submitted using the electronic form at https://varaukset.seinajoki.fi

Granted to support activities in accordance with the youth association’s action plan or to cover costs arising from starting activities. An unregistered association’s administration, activities and finances must be organised like those of a registered association, and its authorised signatories must be of legal age.

Operating grants are announced for application annually by the end of March. The notice is published in the local newspaper and on the city’s official notice boards.

Operating grants are allocated based on the previous year’s activities and the current year’s action plan. The application must include the previous year’s activity report and financial statements as well as the current year’s action plan and budget.

Grants are awarded taking into account:

• the purpose, quality and scope of the activity
• the significance of the activity in relation to the city’s other youth work and youth activities
• the applicant’s self-reliance
• the need for the grant

The applicant will be notified of the grant decision. The operating grant is paid to the account specified by the applicant after the decision has become legally binding.
