The City of Seinäjoki provides a wide range of cultural activities for children and the youth.
Childrens Cultural Centre Louhimo
Louhimo is a children’s cultural center run by the Cultural Services of the City of Seinäjoki. Louhimo specializes in music and circus arts and operates in Seinäjoki, Ilmajoki, and Kurikka. Louhimo’s main target groups are children, young people, families, schools, and early childhood education. Louhimo’s mission is to improve the well-being of children and young people by providing them with high-quality arts and cultural services and by engaging them in arts and culture. Cultural education plan
The City of Seinäjoki has a cultural education plan for children in early childhood education and basic education. The plan consists of Taituri, which is implemented in early childhood education, and Kulttuurimatka, which is implemented in basic education. The cultural education plan provides equal access to arts and cultural content for almost all children and young people in early childhood education and basic education. The aim of the activities is to offer children and young people the opportunity to experience the well-being effects of art and culture and to gain new perspectives on building their identity.
The cultural education plan is based on the early childhood education plan, the national preschool education plan, and the basic education curriculum. The cultural education plan is implemented in cooperation with the cultural services, early childhood education, and basic education. The cooperation network also includes several local arts and cultural actors. The cultural education plan is coordinated by the Children’s Cultural Centre Louhimo .
Children’s Culture Festival Pikkuprovinssi

Children’s culture at Kalevan Navetta
Kalevan Navetta organizes a wide range of arts and cultural activities for children and families. Twice a year, Muu-Mau’s event days feature art and craft workshops organized by the center’s operators, as well as other exciting activities for children and families.
