Cultural Club

Cultural Club is a place to enjoy each other’s company and try out different cultural activities. The themes vary from month to month. Participation is free of charge and does not require any prior knowledge or registration. All meetings are held at the Kalevan Navetta Art and Culture Center (Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki).

January 15, 1:00–2:00 p.m. Art Thursday: Sarah Nakiito & Liisa-Irmele Liwata: Still I Rise workshop at the exhibition

Starting from the lobby of Kalevan Navetta.
We will explore the exhibition on display at Kunsthalle Seinäjoki through various tasks and discussions. The exhibition intertwines two different working methods, creating a space that encourages the viewer to reflect and draws them towards change and gentle rebellion.

February 18, 1:00–2:30 p.m. Karaoke in Kammio

Kammio, 1st floor
Let’s gather in the Kammio music room to sing together in a relaxed atmosphere. A diverse selection of songs and an atmospheric space invite people of all ages to enjoy music in a low-threshold setting.

March 18, 1:00–2:00 p.m. Let’s make juggling balls

Pedatila Itikka, 2nd floor
Let’s make juggling balls out of balloons, rice, and fresh straw. The necessary materials will be provided. Afterwards, we will learn the basics of juggling and try some tricks together.

April 22, 1:00–2:30 p.m. Beeswax painting

Pedatila Itikka, 2nd floor
Let’s try some inspiring and surprising beeswax painting together. The necessary materials and two irons are available on site.

May 27, 1:00–2:00 p.m. Circus jam

Event venue Hugo, 2nd floor
Let’s explore different circus equipment, do balance exercises, and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere. The workshop is suitable for all ages. These feel-good exercises develop balance, body language, and expressiveness, among other things.
