What do you do? How many people work for you?
Epec Oy is a systems supplier specializing in advanced electronics and software for work machines and commercial vehicles, electric powertrain systems, and assistance and autonomous systems. We are close to our customers and continuously develop better technology solutions for the future. Epec’s headquarters and production are located in Seinäjoki. In addition, we have offices in Tampere, Turku, Kuopio, Shanghai and Milwaukee. Epec Oy has been part of the Ponsse Group since 2004.

What kinds of roles and tasks do you have?
Most of our personnel are white-collar employees and a significant portion of them work in design and product development tasks.
We have many different job titles; here are examples: test engineer, electronics designer, software designer, Control System Engineer, Sourcing Manager, IT specialist, project manager, product manager, maintenance manager, Marketing Manager, office assistant.
How many new professionals do you hire annually/in the near future?
Over the last four years we have doubled our personnel. For this year, personnel growth is estimated to be a total of 15%. Growth will continue in the coming years.

What is the best feedback you’ve received as an employer?
In recent years we have received a lot of positive feedback from our employees about Epec’s development and culture – especially new employees have observed the new operating environment and have openly told us about their experiences. Much praise has been given for the trust placed in employees – at Epec you genuinely get responsibility if you want and are able to carry it. New employees have also been impressed by how warmly the existing work community has welcomed them and how work at Epec is genuinely done towards common goals, regardless of team boundaries. People seem to feel we are the “right size” company – the structure is suitable, the atmosphere is relaxed and there is no need to flatter anyone at Epec 😊.
