Integration Services

Seinäjoki Integration Services offers integration services, guidance and advice to its clients settling in on all matters related to everyday life, basic security and services. Integration services are provided through multidisciplinary network cooperation. Integration Services also handles reception arrangements for quota refugees as well as training, consultation and information on refugee matters.

The goal is to integrate the client into Finnish society as an independent, active citizen while preserving their own cultural identity. Integration Services focuses on client-centered integration activities, support for everyday life and services that involve the client, taking into account the whole family and the client’s history.

Through our activities we aim to promote positive and inclusive multicultural development in our city.

Who is it for

Integration Services is responsible for the statutory integration services for refugees, persons granted asylum and persons who have moved to the municipality and are covered by temporary protection residing in Seinäjoki. Integration services are provided for a period of two years from the first population register entry.

  • financial guidance and assistance in applying for primary benefits
  • guidance to health services
  • home visits
  • information on studying Finnish, vocational education and employment
  • training, consultation and information on integration matters
  • arranging interpreter services for refugees
  • guidance for civic orientation
