Nuorten Tolkku

Nuorten Tolkku is an arts‑based workshop operated by the youth services of the City of Seinäjoki. Its aim is to support and guide young people aged 18–29 living in Seinäjoki towards participation, education and working life. The workshop strengthens young people’s life skills, social skills and personal strengths, helping to clarify their future plans.

Outreach youth work

The primary task of outreach youth work is to support young people aged 16–29 who are outside education or the labour market, or who need assistance in accessing the services they require. The aim is to be present in young people’s everyday environments and to offer a safe and confidential contact with an adult. Outreach youth work supports young people in finding solutions to their challenges and questions and helps them access appropriate services.

Preppaamo

Preppaamo’s youth workshop activities are intended for people aged 16–29 who are interested in the cultural, events or media sectors. The aim of the activities is to support young people in progressing towards employment in these fields.

Group activities for older adults

The groups listed below meet weekly and are open to all older residents.

  • Kahvikekkerit is an open, low‑threshold coffee gathering for older people and recently retired residents of Seinäjoki.
  • The Senior Single Club is intended for older people living alone. The club provides an opportunity to meet others, enjoy pleasant activities and spend time together over coffee.
  • The Well-being community invites you to join a one‑hour outdoor group walk.
  • K65 Cultural activities offer art and cultural activities for people aged 65 and over.

The Well-being community is suitable for everyone, regardless of fitness level. Walks are organised in two groups: a faster‑paced group and a more relaxed group. In poor weather conditions, exercise sessions are held indoors at the community centre hall.
