What do you do? How many people do you employ?
At Lakeuden Etappi, we provide effective waste management for the benefit of our customers and the environment. We are responsible for arranging the waste management of our owner municipalities. We manage our customers’ waste collection from their properties, and in addition our customers have access to, for example, waste stations as well as RE points, eco- and regional collection points, along with communications and recycling coaching. In total there are 40 of us and there are approximately 135,000 residents in our service area.
What kinds of roles/tasks do you have?
We need suitable expertise, for example in customer service, logistics and IT systems. We have roles both in the field and in the office.

We are a pioneer in our field in everyday circular economy. We have broad expertise and specialist knowledge across different areas of the circular economy, which allows us to offer a diverse and developing work community. We are also a social enterprise. We do work that is meaningful for society and the environment.
Where do you see yourselves as an employer in five years?
The circular economy is a developing and forward-moving sector, so there will be work in the future as well. We invest in the well-being of our personnel.
