Child law services
In matters related to child welfare, housing, visiting rights and maintenance, the child’s parents are both considered interested and contracting parties. It is the responsibility of the Child Welfare Supervisor to confirm the agreement drawn up between the parents if it is in the best interests of the child.
The Child Welfare Supervisor does not define the contents of the agreement – the parents must negotiate on the agreement together.
If the parents do not live together, they should agree on which parent the child will live with, when the child will meet the parent they are not living with, and the responsibilities of each parent concerning the maintenance of their child.
