Psychologist and family councelling services
The psychologists and social workers of this unit support the local children, young people and their families as well as adults in different life situations. Services are confidential and free.
Services for children visiting the child welfare clinic
The team’s workers provide help in matters related to the upbringing and development of a child, complicated family situations, and in crises that a child and their family may have faced. Doctors, nurses, other specialised workers, and the personnel of early childhood education will guide those in need to the relevant services. Parents can make appointments by themselves. The workers also have regular receptions in clinics.

Services for primary school-aged children
The team’s workers
provide help in matters related to the upbringing and development of a child,
complicated family situations, and in crises that a child and their family may
have faced. Doctors, school nurses, and other workers from schools will guide
those in need to the relevant services. Parents can make appointments by themselves.

Youth services
Young persons or their
parents can contact youth services if, for example, there are difficulties in a
young person’s learning abilities or there are mental difficulties, weariness
at school, stress, or if there is a complicated family situation. Doctors,
nurses from the school or student healthcare, or other workers from schools
will guide those in need to the relevant services. Young persons or their
parents can make appointments by themselves directly from psychologists and
their reception.

Adult services
You can contact the psychologists in the following situations: changes in life situations and crises, mental health problems (e.g. depression, anxiety, fear and panic symptoms). Different authorities will guide those in need to these services. You can also access these services by making an appointment by yourself.
