Services of Immigration Centre:

Information centre:
• provides the immigrants with information on the Finnish society, on the rights and duties of immigrants, on the services during the integration process, and on interpretation services
• provides the authorities and other organizations with information on immigration affairs
• provides employers with information on immigration affairs

Meeting place:
• immigrants’ work on their own cultures
• support to the functioning of immigrant associations (cooperation and possibility to use facilities)
• various group activities

Information for Immigrants

A brochure called ”Maahanmuuttajan polku/Immigrant’s Path” gives contact information and a short introduction of immigrants’ services and activities in Seinäjoki. It also gives information on the social integration process of an immigrated person into the Finnish society. At the early stage of integration, an immigrant is supported by drafting an individual integration plan. An immigrant’s own responsibility and active cooperation is important, and s/he is offered different immigrants’ services from various authorities and institutions.
