The Peräseinäjoki Drying-barn museum

The Drying-barn museum present the development of Peräseinäjoki from the past to what it is today. The museum was opened in its present location in 1983. The collection of artefacts began already at the end of the 1960s, during the home region research trips conducted by the Institute for Folk Tradition of the University of Tampere. The drying barn includes artefacts related to the grain treatment of the old days as well as other old tools and machines used in agriculture. The magazine building exhibits artefacts related to the lives of the inhabitants of Peräseinäjoki. In addition to the old drying barn, the Peräseinäjoki drying-barn museum comprises the old storage magazine for borrowing grain, originally from the Peräseinäjoki village centre, and two small sheds.

The Drying-barn museum opening hours are upon agreement. Opening fee is 40 euros.
